NUISANCE ANIMALS: Please be advised the Animal Warden will not set traps set after November 2020. Trapping of nuisance animals will resume again in Spring 2021.  PLEASE NOTE:   THE ANIMAL WARDEN IS NOT AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS !!!

Trapping of nuisance animals can be arranged by emailing animalwarden@mapleheightsohio.com, or calling 216-587-9014, or using the online form.  Please note:  Cats will NOT be caught or trapped by the Animal Warden.

Maple Heights has a two-service day collection schedule for refuse, and beginning in Spring, 2017 the City will begin RECYCLING again.  Information will be posted by spring 2017, and Waste Management will be sending out mailers to homeowners advising of the new collection program!  PLEASE NOTE:  CLICK HERE to review the Waste Management link for information on holiday schedule, heavy item pickup, or recycling information.

Please call the Cuyahoga County Sanitary Engineer’s Office at (216) 443-8201 if you are experiencing sewer backup.  In many cases, they will respond to your call the same day.

Information on the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District

Computer recycling, as well as the Hazardous Waste round-up, can be dropped off at the Maple Heights Service garage, 5501 Dunham Road year round, weekdays ONLY from 7:30 AM until 3:00 PM. (No latex paint!!)

OIL: Residents can return used oil in approved containers to the City Service Garage, 5505 Dunham Road.  Please use the second entrance closest to Benhoff Drive – the oil recycling station is located on the north side of the driveway approximately 200 feet from Dunham Road.

FLOURECENT BULBS (CFL): Maple Heights partners with the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District for proper disposal of various household chemicals, paint and other items but does NOT accept fluorescent bulbs/ CFL’s for recycling or disposal.   According to Lowe’s Home Improvement stores, they WILL accepts CFL’s and Fluorescent Bulbs for disposal at their stores.
